When you're first starting out in photography, it can feel absolutely overwhelming trying to learn, assimilate, and execute the information and techniques you need to know in tandem with your artistic vision. This helpful video will show you 11 common mistakes beginners make to help you avoid them and advance your work more quickly.
Coming to you from Sorelle Amore, this helpful video outlines some common traps beginner photographers (and even the more experienced among us) fall into. Of them, I think the most salient for me is shooting with a purpose and by consequence, avoiding the "spray and pray" method. Unlike film, there's basically no cost associated with shooting each individual exposure on a digital camera and that in tandem with the frame rates of today's modern cameras makes it easy to just shoot a ton of frames and leave it up to statistics that something good is probably buried in all those shots. I know I was certainly guilty of this when I started out. Besides taking the creation of something of quality out of your control, it also prevents you from developing and refining a discerning and personal artistic vision as you're not forced to think through shots. Take time to create images.

What a simply wonderful lady. :-)
What?
Ansel Spear is a visitor from a distant world. I don't remember which star system he's from, but it's a "ghastly" one (too many planets clustered together).
A really great video. I like her closing advice most; enjoy your photography.

Lots of energy and it is definitely for beginners. She has a wonderful sense of humor and the enthusiasm is great. Wonder if she is free for Mojitos when I am in Bali in a couple of weeks teaching a workshop. Hmmm.
she is married with kids if this is what you aim to :)
I do most of these things so I love this video since I am able to share this with a friend
