How a Good Attitude Will Bring You Better Images

Being a creative can be frustrating, bringing with it a variety of challenges and sometimes, just plain bad luck. Your attitude and approach can make a huge difference, though. This great video essay discusses why a positive attitude can lead to better images.

Coming to you from Alister Benn with Expressive Photography, this excellent video discusses the importance of a positive attitude toward making images and the very real impact it can have. After all, we all got into photography because we enjoy it, and it would be a shame to let that be poisoned by something like a day with bad weather. In fact, I truly believe one can make good images in any kind of weather. The key is working with the weather instead of against it. Sure, most of us set out hoping for partly cloudy skies and golden light that bathes the landscape in warm tones while casting dramatic shadows, but we are not always lucky enough to find those. Instead of trying to force the photos we want, if we embrace whatever conditions we are given and work with them to create photos they are conducive to, not only are we likely to come away with better images, we are likely to enjoy the experience a lot more too. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Benn.
