How to Increase the Chances of Getting an Answer From Celebrities You Want to Work With

One of the coolest parts about being a photographer or videographer is that you often get to rub elbows or work with people you might not ever meet otherwise. Here's how to increase your chances of getting a response (and a positive one at that) from those celebrities when you reach out to them.

Coming to you from Olufemii Tutorials, this great video gives tips on how to reach out to celebrities and high-profile collaborators you're interested in working with and increase your chances of getting a favorable response. Many creatives dream of working with high-level collaborators or shooting well-known personalities, but I think it's important to remember that behind the celebrity is a person just like you or I, and they can only devote so much time, energy, and attention to such requests, and with the sheer volume they're inundated with, it's important to know how to cut through the din and present yourself favorably. Personally, my two best tips are to not come off as a gawking fan, lest you'll be relegated to that status in the person's mind (rather than a creative with something to offer) and to be respectful if the response is not what you want or you get no response at all. Check out the video for a lot more helpful tips.

Looks good, and seems to fit with the 3-legged-thing CEO's recent rant on a similar topic. I especially liked his eighth point about releasing the kraken.

I feel a little dizzy after watching this video though - not sure why he felt the need to be turning around and around throughout!

I too have used some of the strategies when I work with Celebrities. specially there is no 3rd DMs if they don't reply. thanks for sharing this! really very good post!
