Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Ottawa Canada. Night of the Super Moon.
It's one of the photos that I pre-visualize, check that the moon can come up in the right angle.
It was December, start of winter, and in my excitement, I had forgotten that waiting for the shot meant lots of standing around, so it felt a lot colder than walking around. The weather didn't help - I waited around, originally hoping for clear skies, but ended up catching a much moodier shot than I had anticipated with the clouds in the way.
I love the composition. I seems like the second soldier is actually looking at the moon
Thank you. Yes, I remember seeing that moment, and knew it was worth the frozen fingers.
