JBL Sub Woofer. Canon XSi, Sigma 17-70 @ 33mm, ISO100, .3 sec, f/11. One speedlight above with slight diffusion, one speedlight from camera left with blue gel. Add some salt to the cone and fire lights just as a tone is played. I believe that adding color and motion to a speaker image increases interest and makes for an exciting image.

I like the concept, but without the captions, I'd have no clue what it was. There's no branding and no sense of the overall product.
Jen, thank you for your comment. My intent was to convey a sense of sound in general and allow the shot to be used in a variety of ways. Music apps and sound services do not sell a physical product but speakers (what this is) are required to enjoy the experience. This is a JBL sub woofer and I would agree that a JBL logo in the upper right would be helpful if it were intended to sell their speaker line. I am so engaged with the audio industry that it did not occur to me that a tight shot like this may create confusion about what the subject is.
