Recently I attended the NANPA high school scholarship in the Great Smoky Mountains, this is one of the photos from that trip. This image was taken on a Canon 5dmkiv with a 180 mm L series macro lens.
At the camp, we were taught about a style called "Meet Your Neighbors." This style requires a PVC table (it was what we had on hand) and 3 Canon speedlights (other flashes are available xD). One flash goes under and two on the sides.
This particular image was of a Garter Snake we found.
