Mount Fuji nearing the end of sunrise. Freezing half to death has its rewards.

Nice shot, I like the smooth water with the slightly blurred reflection. I just think this image could benefit from a few small fast adjustments like bringing the whites up and sharpness down in the sky to reduce the greys of the clouds and perhaps make it contrast a little bit from the water as naturally we would expect the reflection in the water to be a bit darker and cooler toned.

Thanks for the feedback. Always appreciated. I took your advice and I tried raising the highlights (and exposure) of the clouds. I think you might be on to something, but its starting to look like a mid-day shot, so I'll have to keep tweaking it to make it look like a sunrise, but it does look nice.
As for the reflection, I did everything I could (short of photoshop) to make it stand out without making it look Peter Lik levels of fake, haha. However, this was taken as a part of a series, and the focus of this particular shot was the movement in the clouds, rather than the reflection.
Thanks again!

I get what you're saying and please note that I'm a total amateur just voicing my thoughts. Extra props to you for the Peter Lik comment! I'm really not a big fan, I prefer this kinda shot of yours where things feel more natural! I also like the slight movement in the clouds, looks much better than if they were sharp as a tack!

I really like this. Personally, I would've done some cloning or healing and removed some of the twigs, to make it look as much as a mirror as possible. Lovely shot.

I thought about removing the sticks, but I hadn't quite learned the photoshop ropes yet. I'm thinking of uploading my actual reflection shot, and I'll see what it looks like if I remove the twigs... or whatever those are, haha. Thanks for the feedback!
