Shot a couple of weeks ago in Troodos mountains, looking towards Limassol. The region boasts amazing dark skies which provides for an amazing starry sky while the hills, blanketed by the humidity, erupt in colour emanating from the villages, cascading down the hill sides and the valleys.

stacked 9 light frames at 8", f2, ISO6400 to reduce the noise with a blended foreground (not composite) layer to balance the exposure at 30", f2.8, ISO800.
This look pretty cool, I don't think that there is much room for improvements. For me this should be a solid 3 to 4 stars, I don't know how this only has 2.5
Thank you for the compliments, it's much appreciated! The way that I would improve it would have a brighter and more defined foreground hill but being that it's pitch dark in the area it would mean a complicated blending and compositing of different times of day and exposures - which I'm not too keen on.
I'm personally not bothered by this at all. Because of it my eye goes straight down to the villages and from there to the milky way
