I also specialize in underwater cave diving photography. This is as we were beginning our dive in a portion of the cave called "Devils Ear" and with the lighting and tannins I was going for a fiery cauldron look and we got it. This is taken as we drop down a vertical shaft. I am practically on my back as the model is going straight down the vertical shaft. The colored water is tannins from the river mixing with the fresh stream water and as we shot this early afternoon, we were able to time the position of the sun to light the tannins in the manor you see. This is a very natural event and NOT photoshop. The flow of water is extremely strong in this area and thus for cave diving photographers, this is one of the most challenging types of shots to pull off and one I am extremely proud of.
