The lion fish has amazing colours, why go black and white?
In the picture the colours were not very good so I went BW to give more emphasis on the patterns and contrast of the fish.
I think if there were less contrast in the background, that might have worked better. Here, it is lost and muddy due to lighting as well.
Gave two stars because of the composition, the fish is a little too in the bulls-eye and also gets a little lost in the background. Would be nice to see a little more separation between the fish and the coral to make it stand out more, but obviously you are at the mercy of mother nature there. I like the B&W though.
