Great Blue Heron at a conservation area in Hamilton (Ontario), Canada. I wanted to use a vertical 16:10 AR because of the vertical profile of the heron and its reflection, but also wanted to control the negative space above it. So I repositioned myself to compose this image and separate the top segment using that tree. I felt that composition was more balanced.
