I had seen this Great White Egret and had shot many images of it on my walks at the local park. This particular day I came around the corner and saw the image that I was waiting for. The bird was standing in the pond with an elegant pose as it's breeding plumage just touched the water. The soft light of the late evening and the contrast of the dark water topped it off.

Birds are hard enough to catch in colors so it is probably even more difficult in black and white. I love this photo and rated it high! Good work!
