The Rangers from Virunga National park risks their lives everyday to protect the wildlife and local community in Eastern Congo. More than 175 rangers have died in the line duty over the past decade. It is considered the world most dangerous conservation job on the planet. Without these men and women Virunga National Park would not exist. I had the please of of meeting one of the rangers on a volcano trek to Nyiragongo. It's incredible to hear how passionate these rangers are about their job and protecting the wildlife knowing that this might be their last day.
