I shot this at a really hard time in my life. My Grandmother and Aunt had passed away in the same year and it was hard on me. They were both very important in my life and how I grew up. I decided to take a solo trip up to Northern California to clear my head and while eating breakfast at a bagel shop I saw this man eating alone staring out the window. He seemed lost in thought, I felt I could relate, I had lots of moments in that trip where I was lost in my thoughts.
