I was trying to take a picture of a not so popular destination in DC, but wanted to capture the main essence of the city. Its such a beautiful city, but the beauty is often dulled by the horrible commuting times and seemingly random traffic. Its also unofficially named the Transient City because the demographics change vastly with each election - and I think I captured that in this long exposure picture because all the buildings are still and unwavering, but the citizens of DC are always changing (the car lights whizzing by). With that description I believe this should be considered street photography, because it really encompasses the everyday experience of living in Washington, DC.
