I had taken this shell along to shoot a couple of "wave and shell" images. I was shooting at 200mm on a Sony A77 when the Gull came down, walked around and had a couple of pecks at the shell. In this shot he tilted his head slightly towards me, being cautious and gauging the reaction of the crazy photographer on the ground trying to get a good shot.
