Ducati team rider, Marco Melandri, dragging his knee, on his way to winning the Australian round of the 2018 WSBK Championship at Phillip Island. The circuit is located on a cliff top overlooking the ocean with public access around the entire perimeter of the track. This was taken between turn 2 and 3 with a Canon 400mm 2.8 attached to a Canon 1dx MkIi. This fast telephoto combined with the amazing focusing and frame rate capabilities of the camera produce amazing results. 1/8000th sec, f2.8, iso400

Great shot, was there any chance to get a view of him coming towards you?
Hey thx Tim. Not a lot of spots to get front on shots similar to this on the outside of track due to run off kitty litter and safety barriers. The few spots you could they install seating and charge a premium.
