I had arrived at Smith Rock to photograph some landscape/snow images. As I pulled into the parking lot I saw the Moon begin to dip behind the Monolith’s that make this such a popular climbing location. I missed my window by 2 minutes and the moon was too low. I had photographer the Moonrise the previous evening and thought they would “stitch” together nicely. Thoughts?

At first glance it looks very nice but considering the moon is behind the clouds illuminating them and you stuck the moon in the middle of the clouds with very sharp edges it pulls me out of the illusion. I think that if the edges were very blurred it would have gotten higher marks.
Very beautiful image though.
