The Greater Rhea is a species of flightless bird native to eastern South America, in countries such as Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Although it is unable to fly, a Rhea can run very fast and reach speeds up to 40 miles per hour! And the Wings provide stability when they run.
I managed to capture this in my local area recently when the snow settled, this is one of few animals that will stop for you to take a Photograph, very Rare occasion for me!
