There's too much head room for my taste. It would work better for me if it were more purposely framed to personify the dog. As is, it feels more still too much like the perspective of a human looking at the dog. It would be really interesting to change that to feel like the perspective of looking at another human.
would disagree with most of what was said, this image follows rule of thirds (which even though is cliched works here, the upper third flows right through this dogs eyes) Furthermore, the gap at the top of the dogs head also has balance as all the spacing around the side elements are pretty equal to the head room. Saying you want to see a different perspective is not a valid critique either (its impossible). Unless the human is no taller than a door handle, this can not be a humans perspective.
