2.18 - "Needs Work" 

Shot 6x7 on Portra 800 film. Going to be published in an international DJ mag next month. Portraits for the release of his EP.

Great to see medium format being used commercially again! Sorry you're getting downvoted since it's not an 8 light setup

Hahahaha thanks. I know it's so under used. There's something about medium format that you can't get with digital. Saying that, this is my first published piece and don't know if I could sustainably work like this all the time

I gave it a 3, overall really good expression, the most important part, but I would like to see the verticals vertical, and his posture is a bit slouchy, it could be a 4.

I completely agree. I straightened it on the line to the left of his head but think that wall might not actually be vertical

The brick to drywall lines are never straight in any building I have ever shot lol. What I see is the window frame on the left, and that brick to drywal joint.

But there is nothing wrong with making things that are not vertical vertical in post and correct those little distractions. You can create a new layer, warp it, then mask him back in through it so you are not distorting him.

No one except for some photographers would ever notice it though :D

I see non vertical verticals in half the photos uploaded here, its just something I notice a lot doing what I do.
