This image was taken using one 36 inch softbox directly over the subject for fill and mixed with the natural harsh ambient sunlight. This photo also won the 500px best poolside photo quest.

Whoa! This is at a 3.36 now with 81 votes. It was almost at a 4 about 10 votes ago. I'm not great at math but that means a bunch of people must have left 1 star ratings. I'm curious. If you rated this image 1 star, leave a comment detailing why you think this image is a snapshot that required no knowlege of photography to create.
