Living in Australia, eucalyptus trees are very common here. However not every season their blossom equally vivid and beautiful. Few years ago I came across a group of trees that were in full bloom with differently colored flowers. I couldn't resist picking some of those flowers and rushing into my little home studio to photograph them while they are still fresh. This is the final result.

They are indeed very interesting flowers.... but in this shot they almost appear plastic or artificial, perhaps over saturated? Nice reflections and depth of field.

You would be amazed, but that's the way these flowers were looking - almost plastic
