This is in my backyard. One day I was just waiting there for a rabbit to come into the shooting distance and realised that the red gum was framed perfectly by all the green trees. For me the contrast is interesting for 2 reasons. 1 is obviously complementary colours, but also all the surrounding plants are English trees and very lush. This almost makes the gum feel alone and out of place as it is rough and a true Australian. It feels to me how an Aussie farmer would feel in Buckingham Palace.
