I would have rated this a 4 star with a greater depth of field. I want to see more detail and feel the story. I like the composition and exposure. I do wonder what the image would look like if you had the camera about 2 feet closer to the ground. Nice shot, thank you for sharing.
lovely DOF. composition is simple but just right to give it a pop. i give it 3 stars because of the lack of a true subject. if you had waited for those people to merge in or had taken it earlier it would be a great shot. it also looks like you tilted the camera just a tiny bit too much to the floor. maybe also a landscape instead of a portrait composition would have been interesting.
I gave this two stars only because I feel its too zoomed in. I'd like to have a wider shot of the trees whereas I feel now the lanterns are the main subject. Also it feel just a little off level to my eye.
