I rated this well above the average. I guess I am more inclined to appreciate conceptual art, particularly when humorous. I think that the reason it was downvoted is that the people on the left are too dark, and the people on the right appear cutout and jagged. That's probably why you didn't get better votes.

I like this from a artistic point of view, however most of the appeal of this image is about the 'photoshop" work done and not the photography itself.

I think it would be better suited to a general art contest instead of a photo contest.

I do enjoy it though! :)
