Staring contest
I blinked first
Looking at the community average after I voted I was quite shocked. I figured it would have been much higher. There's such story to this photo. The coolness of the temperature adds to the darkness of it. The lighting isn't "perfect" lighting for a regular shot but I love how it's lit. You've got a hint of feathered light hitting the broad side of your face giving some great shadows on your short side. Looks like some reflective fill off something (maybe even the wall) but I absolutely love what you've done here. There is thought and purpose to this photo and it really shows. Well done!
Thank you so much Brad, I am fairly new to studio style shots and this was a bit of an experiment. I used a speedlight off camera left facing the far side of the skull and the reflection of light on the nearside was created by my low ceiling and walls of my loft. It's a very small space. I am glad you liked it!
