The sun's rays

The sun was already high. I entered the church immediately after the Mass and there was still incense in the air. This is the reason why the rays fall at different angles.

Are the rays real? It seems like the direction of the rays in various windows is inconsistent with one time of day.

Nice idea

They rays can't be real, unless the sun was about 5 meters outside the window and a different sun was lighting the top 2. This must have taken a lot of work though.

The picture was taken at 13:17, 25.12. 2020 after the mass is over. There were still incense in the church since the ceremony. This is why the rays fall at different angles. The image has contrast contrasts only.

OK, I take your word for it, but it just feels wrong, but I will increase my score accordingly. :)

I have looked at this very closely. I believe some of the rays are real and line up with light cast on the floor. Some of the rays don't match these at all though.

A quick render from a geolocated model show that the beams would look like that. So I apologise to Mirko for doubting...

Which church is it?

Basilica of Santa Eufemia in Grado, Italy

VERY DRAMATIC SHOT.

we need the raws

Wow. Why does it matter if the rays are real or not? Its a photograph. He is not trying to prove Bigfoot exists.

It matters because it's interesting. If you're not curious, move along and leave us to it.

I have a very simple test about thesу rays for you. Just extend all rays and if the are all will intersect in one point then they COULD be real. Otherwise - they definitly fake.
On this one they seems real to me.

Beautiful shot Mirko!
