Unfortunately that was my first impression also. Photo is really nice in terms of the focus, her facial expression, also composition, but this first impression still haunts me.
Picture - 2 + her smile - 2 = 4. Personally, I would crop it a little. I don't really care about empty space above her head nor blurry wall to the right. White line at the bottom edge (below her knee) is quite distracting and the green patch on the left edge (at her cheek high) too, but not as much.
