A portrait of my wife's grandpa.

I am between a three and a four.

I want to see a little more of the subject. He is holding a glass, but I had to look pretty hard to see it. If you are going to have props, they should be a little more visible. Perhaps a little fill light to help show the details I am dying to see. I don't think it takes much to make it a solid four-star image.

I really like your lighting choices for this one and the color grade is really classy and thoughtful.

I'm much in agreement with Andy. Also, I feel the light on the forehead and back of his hand is blown out, in contradiction to the otherwise great subtle lighting. The glass in hand is tough to see and crowds the edge of the frame. Personally I prefer a warmer cast so I suppose I'm disagreeing with Chris a bit. Very nice photo showing great character.
