To me, the sight of my campsite set up brings me great joy. unfortunately at this site, there was others camping with me and just to the left or right of the photo is misc gear that distracts from the happiness of just a campfire with a pot of coffee and food cooking in foil simple, relaxing setup.
Communing with nature brings me the most joy.
I would totally agree, camping and hiking are one of my favorite things as well and your photo attracted me because of that. Whereas photography first and foremost should be about pleasing ourselves, once you put it "out there" we as viewers are looking at it from our subjective point of view. Asking for opinions does not always get us what we want to hear but it does give us another perspective and opens our eyes to what others see. Not many people are even giving constructive criticisms on this site. My criticisms may sometimes be harsh but I try to be honest without being personal. Mr. Bush, another reviewer, on the other hand, seems to think I'm being personal and has called me names. So be it.
