Tulip Stairs, The Queen's House, Greenwich. London. Dating from the early 17th Century, The Queen's House is packed full of design gems and the Tulip Stairs are my favourite with their ornate wrought iron balustrade and the beautiful sectioned glass roof. The first geometric centrally unsupported staircase built in England, it is an elegant marvel of architecture and design dating back over 400 years.
