The Hall lines up well with the North Star Polaris which sits almost perfectly on the Earth's axis of rotation. The apparent motion of the stars due to the Earth's rotation was captured with many long exposures which were blended in post to create the effect. The low lying mist was a welcome addition to add a little extra mood although it caused problems with condensation on the lens which made the lights bloom, some shorter exposures taken earlier managed to recover the highlights.
