I had been taking shots of waves breaking on this solitary rock on a remote beach in New Zealand at quick shutter speeds in order to freeze the motion of the water, towards to the end of the session just after the Sun had set I decided to try a few longer exposures and this is what I got.
The ocean didn't seem overly rough, but the waves were really pounding this rock and breaking really high. We were the only people there and it was a really cool sunset apart from the savage sandflies that were constantly trying their luck, so many have been removed from the image with the spot removal tool.
*Edit* After scrolling through just now I realised that the whole image is too bright, so have lowered the exposure and re-uploaded.
