This was a personal project that I shot of an iconic mid century modern high school, by the late architect, Dean Gustavson. It will be demolished and replaced, so I wanted to capture it before it is gone. This image is a combination of brackets, hand blended together in Photoshop. The light was fairly even after sunset, so I used the brackets to recover detail in the highlights and bring out detail in the shadows. I retouched out some distractions, but liked some of the elements like the sign and dumpster toward the right side of the image. I wanted it to be natural and authentic, yet polished.
