This is a photo of Leo Velo taken as part of a series I did called Monolith. I wired the LED strips so they'd be fully sound reactive, the shoot is done with music blasting through it which makes it hard to nail the perfect shot, but also increases the frequency of 'happy accidents'. The core of the series was centered around the video portion, which is filmed and edited to pre-selected music to maintain the integrity of the audio reactive LEDs when viewing the final product. Here's an example from this specific shoot https://vimeo.com/378357811/1402dadf49

The photo leaves a lot to the imagination, but makes me want to know more about her. Who is she? Where is she? How can I be friends with this freak? ;) When the viewer starts to ask these questions, the photographer, you, did his job well.

I admit, I didn't react positively at first, but then I went back and imagined the scene, Berlin in 1920s, or a new homage to the movie "Vamp" or something on a different planet. I got excited to see more. So I realized that I love the photo. You set up a place for us but not giving us all the answers.

The photo grew stronger to me. You did an incredible job.
