This is three separate shots, one for the helicopter, one for the guys and one for the ground. The ground is a combination of spackle and flour on a black surface. The helicopter is a 1/72 scale model and the dudes are 1/6 scale. The flare was worked out by some long exposure light painting.

Tiny, but epic! Love the use of long wide space. I tend to dislike when people choose the 16:9 frames just to look good on tvs, but in this case the frame size is the perfect choice to project a grand wide narrow space for your story.

Thank you very much! Starting out I never have a ratio in mind, it’s just what ends up feeling best for the image. I’m not even sure this is 16:9. Working with scale models and toys is the only way I can afford to create the ideas I have, I mean who has access to a UH-60 at any time? Thanks again, glad you like it.
