I'm a big fan of crime mysteries. During the lockdown I wanted to try something different and I started watching old black and white movies which inspired me to create more black and white content for my portfolio.
After receiving positive feedback from my first noir shoot based on "Film Noir Portrait Shoot" by Gavin Hoey, I decided to put what I learned to use and produce a different look and effect.
I particularly like the shadow work in the background! Nice!

I really dig the lighting here, but I can't help but feel like it's not very sharp. His eyes, facial hair, and the front of his hair all feel soft. Not like you missed the focus, but almost like you have a bad UV filter or something in front of your lens...
