Female ruby throated hummingbird loading up before taking the long flight south for the winter.
This was one shot, no flash, just right place right time.
Cropped, colors enhanced and a flower removed from the right side of the shot, noise reduced.
1/1600, f6.3, iso 4000.
Incredible shot! Love this angle and perspective.
Thanks Bruce.

See settings in his caption above.
Bruce thank you I didn't see that, now my second question, what film format did you use and the lense, please?
I used a Sony a9 with a Sony 200-600 in crop mode for a 900mm FOV. and a 10 mp file size.
Thank you for that info, I appreciate it. But what a marvelous immage you created...with a Sony... I was a Pentax person in the 80's and 90's then in 2002 I purchaced my first DSLR, a Sony, the spider in its web was taken with that camera, but I stuck to 35mm and 120mm SLR because in tose days DSLR was just not good enough yet. The image sensor on my Sony was minute 4.5 x 5. Then in 2007 I moved over to Canon with a 300D that gave some good results, in 2012 my canon went for a tumble, I then purchased a Canon D5 and that one went for a tumble, it broke my heart. So I looked for a camera with a more robust body and purchased a Pentax KS-2. That was the best that I could afford in 2016 because I went into the Seminary in that year. Pentax make good products now and I am reletively happy with it, but looking at the results from your Sony, really that is impressive.
Well that is the story, I hope it didn't irritate you too much.
Nope, no issues on this end. I shot Canon for many years. About 3 years, I switched to Sony. It's been a good relationship, and a good move on my part.
