Rabid Rabbit
This rabid rabbit (locally called a rabbit, but actually a hare, for all who care) had been wandering near our campsite for a few days. One usually thinks of wildlife as stunning and beautiful but this one was a bit of a wake-up call. It was so sad to look at that I had never actually posted it before now. I prefer people "feel good about" and be intrigued by my wildlife photos. This one reveals the often hidden reality, the sad side of nature, and the daily struggle to survive.
FYI.. the other eye looked fine but the ticks were taking their toll.
