Uncomfortable

"Behind Bars"
This was a monkey photographed in a safari park in which the cage seen in the picture was where I was sitting, not the monkey. Nevertheless, the more immediate interpretation of the image is what made me keep it. The look in the monkey's eyes makes me feel a sense of wanting to escape, which is what gives the image a somewhat uncomfortable feeling.
The eyes are focus stacked from two separate images so that both of them are sharp while keeping a shallow depth of field
