This was taken at a small local motocross track in westen NC. People just called it Matt's track. I was there with some friends in summer of 2013 and just shooting whoever was there on a hot saturday afternoon. I had my Nikon D600 with the nikon 70-210 4-5.6. I was just squatting in the dirt watching them come around this corner. I noticed the angle of the light working well from the back off to the side. I stayed in this spot for a little while hoping someone would kick up a cloud and Id get a dramatic shot. Just for those who dont know, if you go fast through a turn theres very little dirt being thrown up. This is a very deliberate and slow way to go through a turn BUt looks amazing. I did some post processing in lightroom then used my own technique to bring out the drama and colors in PS. This was posted on google plus back in the day and eventually got over 54 million views on there. Also I never actually found out who this guy was.
