This photo was taken at the Nachisan Seiganto-ji Temple in Japan on 29 Nov 2019.
It consists of a blend of 200 images for the star trails taken between 2-4am, and a morning blue hour image (approx. 5am) for the foreground.
A Canon 5Dmk4 with the 24-70mm f2.8 was used with the following settings:
Star trails - 42mm, f/2.8, 30s, ISO 1000
Foreground - 42mm, f/8, 30s, ISO 100
Apart from the blending of the night sky and foreground, as well as adjustments for exposure, color and contrast, post-processing also included the removal of a small section of roof from a building that was blocking the bottom right of the image, and consequently the addition of the section of road that was revealed behind it.
