Portrait of Marta.

I shot it with 3 light setup, but unlinke HSC style Headshot's i use only one LED Panel Godox FL150R as super subtle kick to cut her more from the background. Main key light its provided by 65cm foldable umbrella Phottix Raja in beauty dish configuration and added grid to focus light more on the face. Additional big 150cm Phottix Raja with double diffusion layer were used to fill shadows.

Edited on C1 and Affinity Photo to clean skin, shapes and make it overall more refined.

Shot on APS-C Fujifilm X-H1 with Fujinon XF90mm F/2 LMWR prime lens.

For me this is to much processed. Just a matter of taste though

Its not a headshot, its not even headshot lighting. Its a bridge between classic portrait and beauty portrait, but in fact its less processed in case of skin than typical "beauty".

Not every photo must be hiper realistic, for such strict representation of human being i shot headshots with only minor retouch that fix temporary changes not permanent ones.

But one thing works well. It has high enaugh lookability* to catch Your attention.

"Lookability - ability of picture to secure attention from an looker" Quote of Peter Hurley

agree with André here. bit too much for me.

You didn't know what beauty retouch is, isn't? ;) And this photo is far from full retouch in fact.

seems like you have a hard time with different opinions. Relax man. as long as you're happy with your work, that's all that matters.

Im cool, just surprised. There is minimal retouching here compared to typical beauty portraits. :)

Maybe next time do a portrait who has terrible skin. hahahahahaha. I like this shot the lighting the focus and to be honest having looked at so many overprocessed photos the dimples in her skin I can see how this is not.

She has her skin, thats crucial for me to maintain humanity in portraits. I just use complicated light, and quite different than most typical setups. Its rare to see mixing Strobes with LED's in such config. As well different settings of key and fill in case of character of light and size of it.

To me it looks like well applied makeup more than retouching. Makeup: the original photoshop.

Also i use very specific light.
