This is one of series of images I did for a local tattoo shop that needed pictures of their entire staff. They also sell a lot of jewelry so I decided to go for a very high contrast look, almost silhouette, highlighting their piercings and jewelry.
This picture is of a tattoo artist nicknamed London. Every single shot was amazing. He loves being in front of camera and it shows. Probably my easiest headshot ever.
The pictures were taken with my Nikon Z6ii and the 70-200mm f/2.8 Z lens.
I used 3 Godox flashes, 2 AD400 pros to white out the savage paper backdrop and on ad100pro through an optical snoot to expose the face for an extra punchy look.
Very little was done in post processing, other than boosting the contrast and dodging the jewelry.
Great shot and concept!
thank you very much :)
The lighting on this is quite well done. You matched the tattoos and the lighting in such a way that I had a hard time telling the difference.
