Portrait of Lizzie, a dance teacher and an ecologist and feminist activist. I took this portrait a bit after midday under the shade of a forest, with few natural rays of light going through the branches of the canopy. I used a speedlight inside a octogone diffuser to light her as the contrast was too strong without it. I darkened the whole image to make it moodier and enhance Lizzie's presence in the picture. About her pose, we tried different versions but this one where she was doing a dance move was less interesting than this more warrior-y stand and was somewhere true to her character. Also her look matched her pose.
