"Unapologetically intense"
I shot this indoors - in a lounge. I used a grey / painted, collapsible backdrop.
I shot it on Nikon Z5 + 85mm 1.8S.
To light it, I used Godox SL-60W in 37-inch octabox as the main light + 30inch reflector underneath + 3 interconnected, small, AA battery operated LED lights for the kicker + one YongNuo speedlight to illuminate the backdrop.
We went for a heavy / intense look as a part of the actor's portfolio of headshots.
Minimal retouch - just skin blemishes removed as well as "digital ironing" (via frequency separation) of the shirt plus a subtle colour grading.
