2.42 - "Needs Work"

I shot this picture in my home studio. The model is a friend of mine who is a dancer. We mostly took dancing shots that day, and then we decided we should try something different. So we set up a fan on the left side of the camera to bring movement to her hair, and shot some tight portrait of her face. I think that the combination of hair movement and expression really gives this shot a combination of softness and grit. To accentuate that gritty look, I decided to add some grain to it on Photoshop.
I shot this with a Canon 6D and a 70-200 F4 L. Lighting equipement used was an Elinchrom ELC Pro HD 1000 with an octobox.
Edited in Lightroom for basic adjustment and Photoshop for skin correction, contrast and grain effect.
