I like this photograph, or maybe I like better the possibilities for this image. The woman, dress, jewelry and props all create a sort of exotic image... at least in comparison to my environment in the rural American West.
Certainly it's much, much better than a 1-star "snap-shot" rating. And with an average of 1.8, that must have been the vote from some people. Honestly, I do not understand what goes on in the minds of some people who cast votes in this place. Your picture demonstrates thought, planning/intent, and consideration of lighting and composition.
That said, there's something about the crop that feels awkward to me... such as cutting off the middle of her right hand and foot. I think I'd rather see either a wider crop to encompass her whole body, or cropping tighter to her upper body, left arm and face... one or the other. The light seems just a bit harsh as well, creating some nasty shadows and hot spots on her right leg.
