I've pretty much quit being a professional musician, which I've done my whole life. Reluctantly Iagreed to a performance and they needed a photo, so I decided to do one last shot of me with my trumpet.
I was planning on using strobes, but some gorgeous golden hour sun was peaking in my studio. I played around with the placement of the reflector with which I blocked out some of the light, because it was a lot... That also introduced a shadow on the chin which I really liked and gives a more moody look to the overall aesthetic.
